What I got for Christmas 2015

Dear beauties,

I know that quite a few of you enjoyed my post about birthday presents and since my b-day and Christmas day are separated by exactly six months, I though that a Christmas edition would be fun as well.

I will say in advance that I'm not trying to brag or show off in any way. If you don't like or are offended by such posts, please click out now - I have many other interesting posts that you can go and read something you'll enjoy.

I am not showing you all of my presents, since some were really personal, untangible (which I will explain in a moment) and some were really unpersonal (like gift cards and money), but here's what I got from my friends, family and my hubby.

My big present this year was a new iPad case since I really needed a new one as mine was falling apart at the seams.

I got spoiled big time with a new leather Cartier case in a nice fuchsia color. It's exactly what I would have chosen for myself, absolutely perfect and I hope it will last me at least as long as the last one.

The presents in the photo really tickled my soul since all of them are something I would have chosen for myself as well. I got some L'Occitane relaxing bath salts, two Yankee candles and the Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette. I've actually gotten this in November as an early B-day present so I'm just about ready to do a proper review on it.

Can't forget my wonderful fuzzy socks! I've worn them almost every day since I got them and missed them a lot when they were in the wash. They are absolutely wonderful and keep my feet nice and toasty. In the photo, I also included two super cute glass ornaments I received from a friend.

I actually asked for these gadgets since I hope they will make my everyday life a little bit easier. I needed a new charging cable since mine looked like it's been attacked by mice and a new converter from the classic charger to the Apple charger. I also received a small reading light so I won't be bothering my hubby too much in the night with all the lights on in the bedroom.

Both of these books are something I would have chosen for myself and I actually had my eye on the Savina Atai planner for quite some time now. Since I am a big believer in homeopatic medicine, I also got a little book of homeopatic stories :)

This table Casino was a gag present from a couple of friends. We were planning another trip to Las Vegas in the summer of 2016 and they thought that it could be good practice. Now I will say that it will surely come in handy as we'll have to skip Las Vegas this year because...

... of this. It's is the biggest Christmas present me and my hubby have gotten this year - in April 2016, we're going to be parents! This also means that most of our presents from our families this year were baby related in one way or another - we're talking strollers, car seats, baby monitors ~ you name it, I've got a voucher for it :)

Anyway, this is everything I got this Christmas. I am looking forward to 2016 since it will bring one of the biggest changes possible to my life and I cannot wait!

Until next time, stay beautiful!

I Love Christmas TAG

Yes, I love Christmas! It's my favorite time of the year and ever since the 1st of December it looks like Santa's workshop in my house. I am excited about everything - spending time with my loved ones, presents, Christmas dinner, the beautiful Christmas decorations in Ljubljana - you name it, I love it. Therefore, I was very excited to be tagged in the I Love Christmas Tag by Rebeka from My Little Wonderland blog and without further ado, here are my answers :)

1. What's your favorite Christmas color?
I love gold color, so my living room looks like a can of gold and glitter exploded all over the place.

2. What's your favorite Christmas movie?
My very favorite movie to watch during the Christmas holidays is Home Alone 2, cheesy, I know. But when we are talking about actual Christmas movies, I'm going to go with Miracle on 34th street.

3. What's your favorite Christmas song?
I adore the song Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt, but if you meet me in December, expect to hear many Christmas songs out of my mouth, since I begin to listen to my Christmas playlist as early as middle of November.

4. The most anticipated Christmas tradition?
Christmas dinner with my family on Christmas eve. I know that my entire family loves coming to a full table of delicious food that I prepare througout the day.

5. Is your tree fake or real?
We've always had an artificial tree. I find it to be more rational and more eco friendly.

6. PJ's or fancy dress on Christmas eve?
For Christmas eve, I always dress  to impress. I might go for a Christmas sweater this year, since I've seen some pretty ones in H&M.

7. When do you open presents - on Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
We open presents with my family on Christmas eve and later, when everyone leaves, me and my hubby open our presents from each other alone. We also usually get each other a little somethin' for New Years day.

8. Do you believe in Santa?
I learned quite early that Santa doesn't exist through a strategic error of bad timing by my parents :) I really don't mind acting like it exists for the younger children, though, I find it endearing that they still believe in such things.

9. What is your Christmas wish?
My Christmas wish is that me and my family would be happy and healthy in 2016. For a personal wish, I wish for a +1 to our little family.

10. Have you ever built a gingerbread house?
I don't like gingerbread so I've never even considered it. I would probably build one with my nieces if they came pre-packaged and the assembly could be easy.

11. What is your dream Christmas destination?
If I could go anywhere in the world, I'd probably choose London or Moscow since they are quite original with their decorations every year.

12. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers?
Dasher and Prantzer and Comet and Vixen, Donner and Blitzen… but do you recall… the most famous reindeer of aaaaaaaaallllllll? Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose… Go listen to this tune on repeat and you'll know all of Santa's reindeers by heart in no time.

Thank you Rebeka for creating this tag and tagging me in it. I wish you all happy and wonderful and glittery holidays! As always,  until next time - stay beautiful!

Christmas Giveaway #5 - recap

Dear beauties,

according to my calendar, I owe you just one more thing related to the Christmas Giveaways - to announce the winner of the 5th and final days of Christmas Giveaways. Again, all your answers were lovely and it was so hard to choose, but in the end I chose the answer by Brina Las who wrote (in my translation):

"My wish is to continue working on myself and grow, become more patient and tolerant and try new things - I've been wanting to visit a dance workshop for some time now. But of course I also wish for health and happiness for all my loved ones and to always have an Euro to spare in my wallet."

I love this answer because it perfectly summarises my wishes for 2016 as well - health and happiness while at the same time trying to become a better version of myself. Brina congratulations, please send me your shipping details.

5th (and final) day of Christmas Giveaways

Dear beauties,

welcome to the fifth and final day of my Christmas Giveaways. I want to thank you all for participating and really taking the time to write down all your answers - I read each and every one of them carefully and they really make me appreciate this Christmas time even more.

Let's get down to business part of things. Yesterday, the comment that I liked the most belongs to Irena G. who wrote (in my translation):

I still write Christmas cards. Not as many as I used to years ago, but I think that with some people we will continue to exchange our good wishes the classic way, via post and with nice cards. It's a very different feeling to get a hand-written card waiting for you in the mail box than it is to get a text message. But in the end, good wishes are good wishes no matter the way they are conveyed. I enjoy writing cards and if I have the time I also make some myself - it's a part of the Christmas spirit.

I could not agree with your words more, Irena. Congratulation, please send me your shipping details to the e-mail in the instructions below.

And what's the last prize for the Christmas Giveaways? It's this lovely gold set of two Afrodita products - Jojoba oil and shea butter shower gel and Jojoba oil and shea butter body milk.

To win this set, all you need to do is answer the following question:

What is the thing you look forward the most in 2016?

It can be an actual plan, a wish - anything your heart desires.

The rules are still the same so don't forget to check them out below. Good luck!

4th day of Christmas Giveaways

Dear Beauties,

ufff, seems like yesterday's question was a bit tricky! Thanks to each and every one of you who took the time to do a bit of rummaging around my blog to find the correct answers. Since all of you gave the right answers, I did a random draw and the winner for yesterday is Bojana. Congratulations, don't forget to send me your contact details so I can get the gift to you before Christmas! Let's look at Bojana's answers together!

Question #1: What is my absolute favorite primer of all times?
Answer:  Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
This is completely true. I wrote a whole post about my favorite primers - check it out here.

Question #2: I have a very spoiled cat. Do you know her name?
Answer: Maybe MayBee?
Again, correct. Her official name is May Bee Blue since she was born in May, buzzes around like a bee and is a Blue mitted Ragdoll. She is a frequent model for my Instagram (@low_maintenance_beauty). She also goes by May, Raggie or Maybe, depending on my mood.

Question #3: I am very biased when it comes to eyeliners. Can you name my favorite brand?
Answer: Lord&Berry eyeliners I think are the ones that you like the most

That is correct - I love Lord&Berry eyeliners - read about them here.

Question #4: Can you name some of the stores I like to shop at the most?
Answer: DM, Lush, L'Occitane, Ličila.si, Avon, Dvorec Trebnik, Melvita, Body shop (my new year wish is to finally get this store in Slovenia ;)) ... and this list could probably go on and on ;)

A big thumbs up for this list - and thanks, Bojana, I really feel the need to go shopping now!

Question #5: I am opening an advent calendar this December. Which one is it?
Answer: L'Occitane
Yup, that's the only one I have this year. No chocolates for me, I'm afraid :)

Question #6: I love traveling but there's one country that holds no appeal for me. Which one is it?
Answer: Australia - If you ever win a trip there, you can gift it to me ;)

Australia is the correct answer - I wrote about it in my Blogvember in the post 20 Random Facts About Me (click here to read it - it's quite fun!)

Let's get on to the 4th day of giveaway. Today, I am giving away an Avon package - all the gifts were provided by Avon Slovenija, so go give them some love on their Facebook page! Also, check out their catalogue for this month - I have so many sticky notes in this one that it looks like a parrot! This gift includes a small Attraction perfume, the Attraction body lotion and Supreme oils to keep your hair extra healthy.

To participate, answer the following question:

Do you write Christmas cards and why yes/no?
