Avon Glow Nailwear Pro+ : Flaming Orange and Plush Berry

A couple of days ago, I already posted a review of the Nutra Effects daily moisturizer and Luck La Vie Perfume that I was kindly sent by Avon Slovenija. 

As I already mentioned in that post, I want to do a separate review of their new summer shades from the Nailwear Pro+ line – Flaming Orange and Plush Berry. 

Last e.l.f. haul for a while...

If you follow me on Instagram (you don’t? Go now – it’s @low_maintenance_beauty) you might have noticed my posts about the shutdown of e.l.f. (Eyes Lips Face) UK online store. Apparently, it will make a comeback in a couple of months, but I still stocked up on some things I like and afforded a bit more, since everything was on massive sale. 

By the way, the sale is still going on – there’s not a lot of stuff left but you can still check it out if something catches your eye.

Anyway, this is what I got. 

 

 

Yes - those are three identical Mineral Eyeshadow Primers back in the corner. These primers are absolutely best value for money (with the exception of Wet’n’Wild Fergie primer which I can’t find anywhere in Europe). They have a soft yellow tint to them which is just enough to cover the veins and spots on the eyelids even if you’re not wearing any eyeshadow. So I stocked up.

My simple manicure routine

I don't have a lot of spare time, so I tend to really simplify anything that I can – including my manicure routine. It's simple, straightforward and works for me. First, I prepare everything I'll need.

Basically, I put together all the necessary tools – nail files, cuticle nippers, cuticle pusher, small scissors and the likes.

Then, I go through my nail polishes and gather up everything I think I'll use – sometimes I give myself more than one option (like here, where I debated between matte finish and glossy finish). 

Next up, it's time to get that old nail polish off. I just bought this Delia polish remover which smells like strawberries and doesn't contain any acetone. I kind of prefer it this way, since I find that acetone really dries up my nails. 

Revlon Parfumerie nail enamel - Lime Basil review

Hello beauties. I hope you are enjoying the first proper days of sunshine and warmth - I actually had my first coffee outside in 2015 yesterday and I loved every minute of it. 

Anyway, I though I would do a review of a polish I found while browsing in Müller (about 7€) the other day - the Revlon Parfumerie nail enamel in the color Lime Basil. 

I was once told that a person should learn a new fact every day. So my fact of today is the difference between nail lacquer and nail enamel. Nail lacquer supposedly dries from the inside and leaves a dull finish, while the nail enamel dries from the outside and then hardens. Also, the latter is supposed to last longer on the nails.

Anyway, back to the actual polish. I didn't own a shade like this before and I was really attracted by it, but the bottle itself, the name and the promise of a perfume combined with nails was the real selling point for me. 

Now the thing is, when seeing the name, I thought that the nail polish will smell really nice on its own. Nope. It is supposed to develop the fragrance when you put it on your nails! It would be nice if that was written somewhere on the bottle. I really didn't smell anything, though.
