TMI Tag

Your low maintenance beauty has fallen ill, so it was the nose-blowing and tea-making routine for me, rather than a make-up one. But, I have mustered enough energy to write a quick blog today. Since I haven't made ANY progress, I though it would be fun to do a random TMI tag, followed by a Beauty Questions tag. I think that especially the latter one will be quite fun to read in a year or so, provided that I actually will follow up and do something spectacular regarding my looks.

So I searched for a TMI tag and came up with a 50 questions one that seems to be quite popular on Youtube at the moment. Without further ado, here are the questions and the answers.

1. What are you wearing?

Right now, yoga pants from Nike and a Kings t-shirt. Yes, I'm a huge Kings fan, although I'm a girl and live thousands of miles from USA. Do you know that #11 Kopitar is Slovenian? Didn't think so :)

2. Ever been in love?

I think I've been in love, yes. It's what I would describe my current status as.

3. Ever had a terrible breakup?

Quite a few, so I wouldn't really get into that. Fun fact - if your bf asks for money for his birthday and you break up months before, he might still call you on the day and ask for the money. I tried to pick up my jaw from the floor for weeks after that.

4. How tall are you?

 168 cm or 5,5. Yes, I had to Google that one.

5. How much do you weight?

Too much. My weight is really bouncing up and down lately, but I consider myself to be overweight. FYI, in Slovenia, my size is M, and in USA I'm a XS. So... my enormousness is obviously very relative to the continent.

6. Any tattoos?

Nope. My body is a temple ;)

I would get a tattoo, if I would think of anything that I would want to carry around with me for the rest of my life. So far, that hasn't happened yet.

7. Any piercings?

Do earrings count? I only have those, and I've only had them done when I was 18 years old. Pretty pathetic, I know.

8. OTP?

Mhhhm... I really had to think about this one. Maybe JFK and Jackie. Or, Jace and Clary. I won't get into that one either.

9. Favorite show?

Right now, the Game of Thrones. I also LooVe the Big Bang Theory and Family guy.

10. Favorite bands?

I'm really not that into listening to music. I am around blabbing people all day and I enjoy my peace and quite. But if I could choose any band to go and hear, it would be something classic, like the Rolling Stones. From performers, I would have to say Madonna.

11. Something you miss?

Without sounding to shallow, because I really miss people I've lost in my life, what I also miss, is a Starbucks, Victoria's Secret and Sephora in Slovenia. Those, I miss.

12. Favorite song?

This changes constantly. Right now, it's Happy by Pharell Williams. That always gets me moving.

13. How old are you?

Just about to turn 30. So, a lot.

14. Zodiac sign?

Cancer. With all the positive and negative traits that come along with it.

15. Quality you look for in a partner?

I think that every person needs someone who they can trust. So being trustworthy would be number one. My husband can make me smile, so that's an extra bonus right there. He's also my best, best friend.

16. Favorite quote?

When chances are a million to one, be that one.

In the positive sense, of course. I have this on my desk at work to remind me everything is possible.

17. Favorite actor?

Will Smith without a doubt. I wish I could just bring him home, set him into a corner and let him entertain me all day long. Plus, his looks don't exactly hurt him...

18. Favorite color?

Black. Or white. So no colors at all. But if I would HAVE to choose a color, it would probably be the Tiffany blue. 

19. Loud music or soft?

That really depends on my mood. Normally, no music at all, but at parties etc. I like loud music. 

20. Where do you go when you're sad?

I play piano. This has been a habit of mine since primary school. It relaxes and calms me, plus gives me time to work stuff out without reacting too insanely. 

21. How long does it take you to shower?

Anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on how much I'm in a rush (in the morning) or how tired I am (in the evening). Recently, I've started running baths as well, but I'm yet to learn how to properly relax and enjoy just lying there. I'm just not that kind of a person.

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

From the time I get from my bed to when I walk out the door, about 1 hour. In that hour, make-up used to be 5 minutes, now it's up to 20 and counting. So I might have to rethink when I get up in a few months. 

23. Every been in a physical fight?

Fortunately, no. But that doesn't mean that there haven't been times when I really wanted to bitch slap people. Or, you know, hurt them in other highly imaginative ways.

24. Turn on?

A nice perfume. And strong arms. 

25. Turn off?

Greasy hair, bad body odor, bad breath. 

26. The reason I started blogging?

I think there are other girls/women like me out there. Maybe I can be of some use. 

27. Fears?

Ohhh so many of them. The number just rises from year to year. Mostly, I fear something happening to me and the people I love.

28. Last thing that made you cry?

Flood videos/pics from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Slovenia, the war for independence from Yugoslavia only lasted 10 days, with low number of casualties and almost no damage. Now, we've been in EU and NATO for 10 years, we've had Euro for years and despite the economy, we're not doing to badly. I think we rank pretty high in standard overall. But in Serbia and Bosnia, the war was terrible and people were still recovering from it - and now they've lost everything they had all over again. 

29. Last time you said you loved someone?

This morning to my hubby. But I was talking into a tissue so it's not necessary he heard me at all. 

30. Meaning behind your blogging name?

Low maintenance beauty - pretty self-explanatory in my opinion. I really am low maintenance, at least as far as the make-up goes, and I think that every woman should think of herself as a beauty. So there you have it. 

31. Last book you read?

One of the Mortal Instruments series. I know... but it helps me sleep :)

32. The book you're currently reading?

Work related book about people's expressions. Pretty interesting at some points, but good sleep inducing material at others.  I only ever read in bed in the evenings, so that's my meter of how good a book actually is.

33. Last show you've watched?

Show as if in a live performance? I went to see Anna Netrebko in Slovenia, before that I think it was Zumanity in Las Vegas. 

34. Last person you've talked to?

Again, hubby. I'm home sick so no wonders there. 

35. The relationship between you and the person you last texted?

This is a pathetic one. The last one was to my banking manager, so I was like naaah that's lame and went to check out the second-to-last. And that one was to a work assistant. So level of pathetic remains untouched there. 

36. Favorite food?

Anything grilled. Or with lots of garlic. But not necessarily grilled garlic. 

37. Place you want to visit?

I really, really want to visit Tanzania. That's on my bucket list. 

38. Last place you were?

Last place would be Thailand. We travel quite a lot, in fact we are doing a long California/Nevada road trip in exactly a month. Yay!

39. Do you have a crush?

No. But I crAsh into things quite a lot. 

40. Last time you kissed someone?

It would be my husband, but other than a random peck on the cheek it's been 3 days. I like to keep the germs to myself. 

41. Last time you were insulted?

Oh, this one is running so clear in my head right now it can cause a major rant. Let's just say that it was in the beginning of this week by a coworker, who thinks that she's awesome by only doing the necessary things and let's everyone else pick up the slack. Then, she leaves the office after 8 hours and calls other people ineffective and unorganized. Go smack yourself.

42. Favorite flavor of sweet?

Chocolate and peppermint combination. I die.

43. What instruments do you play?

Piano. I'm a little worried about this question -should there be like a couple in here? But I play the piano pretty well, so maybe that's a comfort in some way.

44. Favorite piece of jewelery?

My Lara Bohinc earrings. Did you know Lara is also Slovenian? No, I didn't think so either ;) If you don't have anything of hers, go and get it. Now.

 

45. Last sport you played?

It's not sport, but I was babysitting on my nieces for a couple of hours and got a hell of a workout out of it. 

46. Last song you sang?

Call me Maybe. This TMI is full of questions about things I really don't want to explain. 

47. Favorite chat up line?

That would be none. Seriously. 

48. Have you ever used it?

I have never, ever used a pick-up line. But it's also true that mostly I was the one being picked up, not the other way around. 

49. Last time you hung out with anyone?

Thursday night with my ladies, celebrating my sister's 28th b-day. And also the reason I'm super sick today.
