40 beauty questions TAG

Since my camera is still not cooperating and I'm unable to take the photos of my second online shopping haul results (and everything else I bought since then as well), I decided this would be a good opportunity to go through a new beauty tag that recently caught my eye. It's going to be a long, long post so by the time you are done with this, my camera will be working for sure. So here we go!

How many times do you wash your face daily?

- Normally 3 times - in the morning, when I get home from work and take my make-up off and in the evening.

What skin type do you have?

- A mixture of dry and oily - oily cheeks and chin, dry nose and forehead.

What is your current facial wash?

- Neutrogena Natural Purifying Pore Scrub. Read about that one in my July favorites

Do you exfoliate?

- I think I do? Everyday?

Update: In the last month or so I learned that if it sounds too simple, it probably is. So I found an article about the difference between scrubs and exfoliators. And no, I don't exfoliate. I learn something new every day...

What brand do you use?

- I don't.

What moisturizer do you use?

- The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, which is awesome.

Do you have freckles?

- Nope.

Do you use eye cream?

- I'm planning on buying myself a really good eye cream. I've tried some of the drugstore "dupes" but I didn't see any dramatic difference.

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

- I still get spots on my chin, but rarely anywhere else. I've never had severe acne though.

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?

- Nope.

What foundation do you use?

- Several ones. Covergirl trublend, L'oreal True Match Lumi and my very recent purchase, the Rimmel Match perfection.

How about concealer?

- Currently the liquid concealer by Make Up Revolution.

Do you know your undertone color?

- I think it's pink, but I'm not sure. I really wanted to get someone in Sephora to do that analysis, but didn't get around to it.

What do you think of fake eyelashes?

- I quite recently started warming up to the idea. I actually ordered some from ELF cosmetics so I'll be reporting my thoughts on that pretty soon.

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?

- I did, actually. That's why I don't understand the logic between having a full stash of mascaras in the make-up collection.

What brand of mascara do you use?

- At this moment I'm switching between Covergirl, L'Oreal and Benefit.

Sephora or MAC?

- Sephora all the way.

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

- I don't have any cards from shops that are not present in Slovenia. Although I realized that in Sephora I should have actually signed up with my massive purchase and could have instantly gotten a gift. Oh well :(

What make-up tools do you use in make-up application?

- Tons of brushes and a blending sponge. My, how things have changed in the last couple of months...

Do you use make-up primer for the eyes?

- I have been using it for the past month or so - Wet 'n' Wild Fergie primer.

For the face?

- Yes, and I'm currently trying out three different ones because by some strange twist of fate, I could never buy a primer in Slovenia but now the shelves are full of them. And I'm in shopping mode. I don't want to say too much, though :)

What is your favorite eyeshadow?

- Currently it's all the nudes - I like to go from really soft brown and just build it up with some darker colors (think of espresso etc.). I'm also liking shimmer on my eyelid at the moment - usually pink-ish or gold-ish tones.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

- Both, actually. I've gotten quite a grip of the liquid eyeliner, but I tend to reach for pencil eyeliner in the morning. Better safe than sorry.

How often do you poke your eye with an eyeliner pencil?

- Ummm, never? Yet?

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

- So far, I think they are really messy. But I haven't bought any yet so I'll keep my mind open.

Do you use mineral makeup?

- I am a proud owner of a couple of those, yes. Very nice. I also feel very good about myself when using them ;)

What is your favorite lipstick?

- I don't have one... yet. But there are some Revlon products coming to Slovenia that I have a hunch I'll be really excited about.

How about lipgloss?

- I really like the Victoria's secret glosses.

What is your favorite blush to use?

- Currently the NYX blush in Pinched.

Do you buy make-up on eBay?

- Not on eBay, but probably on every other online store with make-up in Europe. I've gone quite mental in this department, as I've said many times now.

Do you like drugstore make-up?

- I sure do. If you don't this might not be a blog to your liking.

Do you go to cosmetic company outlets?

- Nope, don't have any around here. Or am I wrong? Comment below :)

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

- I am seriously considering the private lessons that are available from Moja drogerija.

Are you clumsy in putting on make-up?

- This would have been a definitive YES a couple of months back, but practice makes perfect. I actually get a compliment now and then.

Name a make-up crime that you hate.

- Dark liner and light lipstick. You look like you were just eating chocolate. But this is of course my opinion. Which make-up crimes do you hate?

Do you like colorful shades of make-up or neutral ones?

- I'm still a beginner, so I stick to neutrals. I am afraid of commiting a previously mentioned crime if I try to venture into the unknown too much.

Which celebrity always has great make-up?

- I've said it before - I love Blake Lively and of course my current obsession is with Lupita Nyong'o.

If you could leave the house using just one make up item, what would you use?

- Mascara. Unless I was really breaking out, then concealer.

Could you ever leave the house without any make-up on?

Sure, why not? I do that on vacation on a regular basis.

Do you think you look good even without any make-up on?

- This depends - I think I look much better in the evening than I do in the morning. It also depends on my skin tone - if I am tanned, I look much better without make-up in my opinion.
