The March edition of
Look Fantastic Beauty Box arrived a lot faster than the February one and I was
so excited to find the package on my desk when I arrived at work. I gave it my
all and actually did not go snooping around the internet to see what other
people received, so opening it was again a nice surprise.
But before we get into
this box, let’s do a quick recap of some products in the February box. Remember
this?
I have not yet tackled
the Korres Citrus body milk and the Sea Mud cleanser. I absolutely don’t want
anything to do with the Bellapierre eye pencil anymore – it’s so hard that I
almost poked my eye out a couple of times while tightlining. I am quite
disappointed since it was my first mineral eye pencil and I was really excited
to receive it at first. Also, I am not impressed by the Monu Illuminating
primer. It is very, very sticky and difficult to apply. It also doesn’t seem to
extend the lifespan of my foundation or make it go on any smoother. I would not
purchase a full size of either of these products.
I can however say that
I am almost through with half of the bottle of Moroccanoil. It is an absolutely
divine product and I love it. I will however hold on the final verdict until I
try the new Kerastase oil I received recently. And finally, I am giving the dr.
Pawpaw balm a big thumbs up – I used it for my lips almost every night and they
have been looking considerably better than usually. I would definitely
repurchase both of these items.
Anyway, let’s get to
this month’s box. This is what I found inside.
Again, there were six
items in the box, but I only found the last one when I rummaged through it so
it’s not on the picture above. Oh well,
it happens to the best of us.
Let’s go through the
products quickly. I have used some of them already and can actually give my
first impressions, which are of course still subject to change. Again, there
was a nice booklet in the box as well, giving some information about the
products inside.
Beginning with the
biggest item in the box, the Wet Brush. It is supposed to easily detangle wet
and dry locks, brush out tough knots and tangles. The retail value of this is
7.99 £, so about 11,1 €.
I tried it yesterday
and it was OK. But just OK. After combing it a couple of times through my wet
hair, I went in with my Tangle Teezer and there were still some knots to be
found. I will probably chuck this into my beach bag and not worry about it
being stolen, since (sorry, Wet Brush)
it looks like something you’d purchase in DM for 2 €. It’s really small and for
me, that’s a definite plus. Mind you, my
hubby will be pleased as well, since he always ends up carrying my beach bag
which is overflowing with stuff I have absolutely not use for at the beach.
Going by size, the
second largest product would be the Fatgirlslim cream (serum?) by Bliss. This
is a deluxe sample, worth 10.40 £, about 15,8 €. The full size sells on the
website for 41,7 €. So, a pricey product.
Now, regardless of the
name – I have an issue with this product. I don’t know how well it shows in the
picture, but the packaging was dirty. Like dirty in a way as if it was sitting
in a storage for a long, long time. Don’t know what that’s all about. Brace yourself for the next photo.
I am sorry for this
photo, I really am, but I couldn’t think of another way to show the product to
you. I was expecting a normal cream, but this product is really runny. I don’t
mind that at all though, I find it easier to apply and it also absorbs quickly. Supposedly, if I apply it twice a day and
massage for 20-30 seconds to stimulate circulation, it will make my skin look
and feel firmer and more toned. I will report back on that.
Next up is another lip
balm – Lippy Cow by Cowshed (there is
a theme going on in this box, apparently),
which I would probably be more excited about if I haven’t received a full sized
lip balm the previous month. I don’t exactly go through one a month. This is a
full size and retails for 5 £, about 7 €.
It’s a natural lip
balm with essential oils to protect and nourish rose geranium to help
rejuvenate and ylang ylang to stimulate circulation. Yes, I’m copying this out of the booklet, obviously. I find the
packaging to be absolutely stunning, but how well it performs compared to dr.
PawPaw (I’m totally naming my future cat
that), remains to be seen.
The last skincare item
in the box was a Nuxe Nuxellence Detox. This is a deluxe sample (no price was
provided), while the full size costs a whooping 66,5 €. Again, very pricy.
Apparently, I could have also received a Caudalie product in the box – I wonder
how they decide who gets what?
I’m going to wait to
run out of my Ole Henriksen skin set before I get around to using this one. By
the looks of it, it’s going to be quite nice and I have had good experience
with Nuxe in the past.
Now, for the make-up.
The item that first got lost in the box is the NudeStix Magnetic Colour Gift.
This eyeshadow pencil, which is apparently quite a new addition to the brand,
costs an amazing 24 £ or about 33,3€. Is it worth it?
I will say that as a
product, it is completely and utterly fabulous. It glides on smoothly and once
you apply it, it isn’t going anywhere. I used this alone a couple of days ago
and I liked it a lot, like much better than my Maybelline Color Tattoo which
has a similar finish. It’s also super easy to use; there is almost no chance to
mess up. But would I pay more than 33 € for this if it was my choice?
Absolutely not. I’m still happy to have it, though :)
I saved the absolute
best for last. What was the last product you tried and immediately fell in love
with? For me, it’s this Line/Shade Kajal& Eye Pencil Liner by Lord &
Berry. It could also be named Lord of the liners, as far as I’m concerned. And
the best part – it retails for 10 £, about 14 €, which I’m absolutely willing
to spend for such an amazing product. There’s
a swatch coming in a second.
After the disappointment
with the Bellapierre I swatched this immediately in the office. I washed my
hands numerous times that day, took a shower, washed my hair, washed my hands
several times the next day and it was still there 24 hours later. I
mean, really? How?
It is the softest,
richest, most intense eye pencil I have ever come across in my lifetime. I
absolutely love the way I can tightline in seconds without putting any pressure
at all on the pencil. It is incredibly black and it stays exactly where you put
it all day long. So basically, love.
Which of these
products do you have or would like to get for yourself? Let me know in the
comments! I feel sometime like nobody even reads this, so your feedback is very
much appreciated every time!

Oh, well.
DeleteBo pa naslednjič več sreče :) Uživaj v izdelkih!
