MONDAY MADNESS: NBB (New Bits and Bobs) for May 2016

I’ve been shopping online quite a lot in the past few months, since I was basically tied to the couch for the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy and have not left the house for the first month much.

Basically what I’m trying to say is that the products you see above were not all bought in May, but I’ll try to keep up from now on with my monthly shopping report. I also completely forgot about my Lancome Juicy Shaker since it’s been in my purse ever since I’ve gotten it, but I think I’ll be writing a separate post about it very soon. I should also mention a present from – the Freedom Brush Bath that I’ve already reviewed in a post you can read here.

Starting with skincare, I bought a new make-up remover from L’Oreal. It looks very oily in the bottle but promises to be “non greasy” so we’ll see about that. I also had to get a new deodorant and chose the Garnier mineral InvisiCalm antiperspirant. I am not a fan of antiperspirants in general but I’ll only be using this once in a blue moon for seriously sweaty situations so hopefully I won’t react badly to it.

Nivea was kind to send me a huge (and I mean huge) promotional package full of stuff for the summer, but the real star of the package is the new Nivea Sun Protect & Refresh sun lotion. You can expect more information about this bad boy in the Wednesday selection coming this week.

I also received a face wash from Mirati, a brand I didn’t know until very recently. I am happy to support local brands by giving my honest opinion and I’ll continue testing it until I’m ready to give a verdict.

I bought the Golden Rose Silky Touch Blush On (n. 207) about a week ago and so far, so good. I’m always impressed by the prices at GR counters and hopefully I’ll be impressed by the quality as well

Avon was very kind and sent me their Bronzing pearls (pink bronze) from the new Avon Glow collection. I don’t think I could pass this for a bronzer, but I’ll try using it as a highlight and report back.

I didn’t have many Ciate polishes in my collection and when opportunity arose, I got three different ones for about 5 € per piece which is half of what you would pay at a drugstore. The colors left to right are Headliner, Snow Virgin and Apple and Custard. I love the colors but will report back on the formula.

I got three new Look Fantastic beauty boxes in the past few months but I must say that I’ve been very disappointed in them. I tried most of the products and they just didn’t work for me, but I haven’t gotten around to using this Revlon Uniq One coconut hair treatment. I haven’t seen one before in our stores here so I can’t wait to play around with it. Besides, I never knew that Revlon made haircare products??

Another surprise present by Avon was this Outstanding Eyes dual-ended kohl eyeliner. I am very particular about my eyeliners so this one is about to undergo a hard test. We’ll see how it plays out.

From, I received the Freedom London Duo Brow Powder (Soft Brown). As you can probably tell by the dents, I’ve already been using it quite a lot, but I’ll share my thoughts on it in two weeks’ time.

This I heart makeup palette named Salted Caramel was also a gift from

I own the original Too Faced Chocolate bar palette and by the first glance at this palette I think that it’s supposed to be a dupe for the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate bar that I don’t have so I’m excited to have a dupe for it and play around with it.

Last but not least – here are the lipsticks. Oh, so many lipsticks, so few opportunities to wear one with a new baby around. But don’t worry, they are still getting much love which they deserve.

Most of these are from the Sephora Give me some nude lip kit and I’ll probably be writing a separate review about them since I know many of you are on a hunt for a really good high-end lipstick. I however purchased the Kat Von D studded lipstick separately and the same goes for the Golden Rose lipstick and Lip Crayon.

If anything tickles your fancy and you’d like me to write a separate post about it, don’t hesitate to tell me so in the comments. And keep your eye out for a review of these products on 3rd Monday of June.

Until next time, stay beautiful!
